Quiet Time
Baby Einstein is focused on helping parents find new ways to engage and interact with baby. We believe that with or without our products, it is important to find ways that make each day a good one for you and your baby. That is really our goal for every parent. It's easy to make everyday moments memorable by keeping a few things in mind:
Mealtime.
While mealtime can present a range of challenges, it is also an important part of building family ties, learning good manners, and establishing better eating habits, not only for children, but for parents as well. So, make sure you schedule meals where everyone can be together to talk, laugh, and share the day. Utilize the opportunity to encourage more interaction during meal time, choose products that help develop good self-feeding skills, and enjoy as you and baby playfully discover new things while eating.
Playtime.
It's important that baby has time to play with parents, as well as time to play alone and with siblings and friends. There are different benefits from each play situation. Playing with other children can help build language skills and teach cooperation. Playing with parents is also invaluable because the time spent together strengthens bonds. To enhance interaction during playtime, look for toys or products that have sounds, lights, textures, or fun themes that create endless opportunities for little ones (and their friends) to discover and play.
Travel Time
Today, everyone is on the go. From a long plane ride to a trip to the grocery store, parents know that keeping baby happy and entertained is critical. It's easy to point out colors or objects outside the window or to pack a small goody bag with a range of toys or distractions like puppets, noisemakers, and other hand-held objects that help make travel time an interactive adventure, rather than an overwhelming endeavor.
Story Time.
It is never too early to begin reading to baby, so make story time anytime. Little ones are naturally curious and may be fascinated by pictures with bright colors and sharp contrast. In addition to reading books with texture or pop-up surprises, look for soft, plastic books that can even turn bath time into a time to read together.
Quiet Time.
With a big world to explore and so many things to keep baby occupied, don't forget the importance of some "down time" each day. It's important for a happy baby and a sane parent. Transitioning from activity to quiet time is easy and can also be the best time for quiet interaction. Whether browsing through photos of baby's family and friends in a photo book or listening to classical music, consider products that can help slow the pace and create a more relaxed environment that little ones and caregivers can enjoy together.
